The name of Kasol in the Parvati Valley is carried far and wide. Many Israelis come to Kasol and can stay there for a month, two months or even more. On the other hand, some see it as just a transit stop on the way to the beautiful villages surrounding it. The Parvati Valley is a lovely green valley with a river flowing along it, surrounded by mountains and snowy peaks, and anyone who enters it cannot help but be enchanted. Kasol itself is divided into two parts, the old Kasol and the new Kasol, which are separated by a bridge, and the main street that runs between them contains most of the guesthouses and restaurants in the village. It is a small place that is easy to find, making visitors feel comfortable and at home very quickly. The views around it are among the most beautiful in the Parvati Valley and northern India. The entire village has undergone an Israeli takeover. Besides restaurants with Israeli food and signs in Hebrew, you can also find many Hebrew-speaking Indians here. For this reason, it is also called “The mini Israel of India.”
You should leave the big bag in Kasol and take a small bag on the way. The villages of the Parvati valley ( Tosh, Pulga, Kalga, Kattaghala, Jalal, Malana ) are near Kasol and are entirely different from it. Despite the many tourists who visit them during the season, the villages often maintain their authentic and calm rural character, making visiting them particularly enjoyable.
The spectacular mountains, green valley views, the calm and rustic atmosphere, and addictive simplicity. You have to prepare for the villages with warm clothes, which you can buy in Kasol.
Tosh is one of the more popular villages because of the ease of getting to it. Today, a road reaches the bridge right on the outskirts of the village. You can get there by jeep in a group of several people or take a local bus from Kasol to Barshani and get on the paved road on foot. The village is considered relatively “developed” in terms of accommodation and restaurant options, and it even has a branch of the famous restaurant “Sammy Burks”. A recommended guesthouse is the Olive Garden. You can go to a nearby waterfall or the surrounding fields. However, the most recommended pastime is to sit on the guesthouse balcony and marvel at the breathtaking view of the valley. At the season’s peak, the village is crowded with Indian and Israeli tourists, and parties are even held there.

Places to visit in Kasol Tosh Package
Kalga: Kalga is a village near Pulga and is considered popular among travellers. The town has many facilities for backpackers who come to the area. Despite its small size, you can find many guesthouses and restaurants and travellers who come to enjoy the pastoral landscape. Kalga is an excellent point to start the Trek to Kheerganga, and you can find many porters in the village who will help you carry your equipment and guide you safely. A recommended guesthouse is the Pink House.
Kheerganga: Kheerganga is the jewel in the crown of the Tosh, Pulga, and Kalga villages, which are close to each other. You can go on a trek of several hours from each of these three villages to Kheerganga. The path to Kheerganga is beautiful but not easy, as most of it is on the slopes. It is also essential to wear comfortable and good walking shoes because they risk slipping after the rain. Please take a local guide with you, who will show you the way, as it is straightforward to get lost. When you arrive at Kheerganga, you will discover a wonderfully small place surrounded by magnificent mountains, with sheep pastures and clouds just a touch away. The village’s hot springs are the main attraction in Kheerganga, perhaps the most beautiful Parvati experience. There was an outdoor pool with natural hot water mainly intended for men and an indoor indoor pool for women. However, this pool is now emptied by locals as per the guidelines of their local deity (‘devta’). At the Kheerganga Top, many options exist for staying in tents where food is available.
Chalal and Katagla: Chalal and Katagla are two villages about 5 km from Kasol. Chalal is a small village that doesn’t have much and is mainly famous for the parties held there occasionally. Katagla is a pastoral place where you can take a day trip or even stay for a day or two. It is a small village immersed in greenery on the river bank. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the famous guesthouse is the White House with its spacious magical courtyard, a place of peace and calm.
Jari: Jari is a relatively large village suitable for those looking for comfortable conditions in a quieter location than Kasol. To get to Jari, you can take the local bus from Bhuntar; it stops there on the way to Kasol. Alternatively, you can drive from Kasol towards Bhunter and get off at the village. Jari is a good starting point for the famous village of Malana.
Malana: To get to Malana, take a taxi from Kasol and climb for half an hour on foot, or get to Jari and go on a day trip from there. The village is an unusual place with a local population that defines itself as a unique ethnic group with its customs and laws, with a rigid division of castes (classes). Tourists are not allowed to touch the locals. A slightly strange rule, but it must be respected. The village is high and nestled among the clouds; the area is green and beautiful, and you can tour the attractive village among the stone and wooden houses.
Manikaran is a beautiful and exciting Indian town located near Kasol. It can be reached by the local bus, which departs from Bhuntar and passes through Kasol. There are two main pilgrimage sites, Shiva temple and Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara, which are considered holy for Hindus and Sikhs, and natural hot springs for bathing, which cure all ailments according to local belief. Manikaran sits on the bank of the river, and some bridges connect its two parts. Indian pilgrims and tourists mainly visit it. Recommended as a refreshing day trip from Kasol.
Pin Parvati Trek: For the severe travellers among you, there is a not easy but recommended 8-day trek, which starts from the Parvati Valley and ends in the Pin Valley in Spiti, passing through the Pin-Parvati mountain pass at an altitude of 5,319 meters. This Trek must be well prepared by a good travel agency like Uncia Trails, and it is essential to have appropriate equipment and a local guide. The Trek combines walking in nature through forests, rivers, waterfalls, mountains and snowy peaks; it is incredibly diverse and requires accommodation in the field. It is important to note that the Trek can also be started from the other side, and arrange to go to it from Manali in the Kullu valley. It is essential to check that the weather conditions are suitable; the recommended season for the Trek is around September-October.
