Uncia Trails is a Trekking Community founded in 2018 focusing on treks and tours. We currently offer trips to India and internationally. All our treks include a perfectly crafted itinerary, and experienced crews and guides accompany them.
What does Uncia mean?
Uncia is a long-haired Snow Leopard from the mountains with a creamy coat and rosette spots. As nature lovers and people who love conquering mountains, we believe ‘Unica’ best represents our spirit and inspires our soul for more adventures.
We are dedicated to documenting and arranging low—and high-altitude treks in the Himalayas. Our main goal is to introduce people to exquisite locations that are offbeat and less explored, which will help nature lovers savour every moment amidst nature without having to deal with many crowds. We continuously seek new trails and adventures and hope these exploration projects never end.
Our Story
All the founders of Uncia were born in the Himalayas. Love for Nature and passion for conquering the Mountains naturally came to us. Early in those days, the concept of trekking was rarely known. It was considered risky and was out of reach for an average individual. Determined to change this stereotype and make trekking accessible to every individual, we decided to follow our passion. Adventure is the way to look at the world from different perspectives. Only if you try new things do you learn your capabilities. That is when you understand your true potential and your true passion.

The Uncia Trails offers Tours, Treks and Activities all over India. Our tours include some of the most popular tourist attractions around the world. On our round-trip treks, you can combine a relaxing train journey with a bus and boat trip through beautiful India and mountain scenery. Along the way, you can add overnight stays in exciting locations and join in on many varied activities.
Our round trips are based on public transport such as Flights, trains, boats and buses, and we endeavour to ensure they correspond to our timetables. There are Tour guides/tour managers on the tours, which are primarily designed for people travelling. We can also organise customised tours for groups on request.

Key components in our tours are private vehicles and bikes, minimising the eco-footprint and maximising the benefits of our tours. We cooperate closely with local activity-, transport- and accommodation providers, supporting them in creating long-term economic sustainability within their community.
Uncia Trails has been a certified eco-tourism company since November 2018. This is a Himachal eco-certification given to companies with a solid environmental strategy that focuses on protecting the environment in all of the company's daily operations.
Eco-tourism is Himachal's most widely used certification scheme for enterprises seeking to document their environmental efforts and demonstrate social responsibility.
